Value Proposition Design: How to Create Products and Services Customers Want (Strategyzer) is a guide through which you can, with a bit of work, self evidently figure out you value proposition.

A value proposition is a business or marketing statement that summarizes why a consumer should buy a product or use a service. This statement should convince a potential consumer that one particular product or service will add more value or better solve a problem than other similar offerings. – http://www.investopedia.com/terms/v/Fvalueproposition.asp

Read it as: A physical book, electronic tools are provided on the website. Having the paperbook available for teamwork simplifies the explanation process during teamwork.

101 Design Methods: A Structured Approach for Driving Innovation in Your Organization a book about how to develop innovation. However I think the key element and use of the book is that it is an easy platform for learning to take action and accepting change.

The process of translating an idea or invention into a good or service that creates value or for which customers will pay. – http://www.businessdictionary.com/definition/innovation.html

Read it as: A physical book, the book is invaluable as a reference tome and for inspiration.

The Virgin Way: How to Listen, Learn and Lead business how-to by Branson. However much of his advice are life advice as well as very sound coaching practices. He talks about people and how to get along with people. Well worth a read.

Read it as: Electronic or paper both work fine.

Change: Learn to Love It, Learn to Lead It on the inside of the cover is a quote from Sir Alex Ferguson

To be successful, you have to be able to adapt to change.

Anyone working in education should read this book. Anyone who wants an introduction and/or understanding of change and how to do it should read this book….just read the book. “Everyone” wants change, no one is willing to change. Well not true, some of us embrace change, if you want to too (or are curious…) read this book.

Read it as: Electronic or paper both work fine.

HUB TURKU anno 2016

HUB Turku is a project that was being worked on a few years ago by now. The idea has once again been uncovered as I’m now again regarding Turku as my base camp and would very much Screen Shot 2015-12-31 at 03.48.49want to see a community around the concept of a community focused co-working space and HUB here in Turku.

The focus would be on social entrepreneurship, teams, promoting entrepreneurship and innovation and collaboration across sectors of industry.

A small group of professionals has already met and we will during this spring (2016) take action so that a HUB will finally become reality in the centre of Turku.

During the past years co-working has exploded in popularity worldwide and there now even today in Turku exist co-working spaces in the fringes of the city one in Electro city in Kupittaa and one at Logomo across the railway to the west.

Contact me if you are interested in taking part in the project.

co-working & spaces

The CO-Working Space (COWS), a foci.

A Co-working space has several roles in the city and region it is located in.

A co-working space without a community is just walls and physical resources, albeit nice to have, they are only the flesh and not the soul of any such space. The community the people who work and visit, interact in the “space” are those who really matter.Continue reading “co-working & spaces”

dialogue and change

Creating dialogue; with clients, their staff and other stakeholders is one of the key tools I use. I promote co-working as well as cross sectorial collaboration as core principles in what I do, and help solve social, economical, cultural, environmental and institutional challenges.

Organisational change and stakeholder involvement depend on effective communication, the aim being of being able to create true dialogue.

I facilitate design thinking through different tools and processes which will help you to come up with creative solutions for your challenges.Continue reading “dialogue and change”

a place for new encounters and through these encounters the creation of something new.

Part of our competence lies in the processes we have created, to systematically bring people together and the tools that enable them to together create new services, concepts and ideas.
